Hey, On Monday night we taught a progressing
investigator, Guillermo. He's incredible humble and faithful. We taught him
about the Plan of Salvation present in the lesson with us was a sister from the
ward who works with Guillermo in a hotel. During the lesson when we were
talking about our life on earth, she just broke down. She told us about a lot
of problems and struggles that she's dealing with right now, one being that
Guillermo's managers mistreats him and doesn't give him time off on Sundays.
She just really opened up her heart to us and was crying a lot. At the end of
the lesson she asked for a blessing of comfort that she can have the strength
to face her problems. We're going to pray and fast for her and Guillermo
so that all can turn out well.
On Tuesday, we got a phone call from the Dutch elders
that they found a guy from Portugal who has been taught by the missionaries and
wants to be baptised. His name is Armando Carlos and he is from Lisboa. So on our
way to our dinner appointment we meet him at a game station and brought him to
a members house for dinner. We ended up teaching him about the Plan of
Salvation. He has a sincere desire to be baptised. My trainer said this stuff
never happens around here, so we're extremely blessed and fortunate.
Then, on Saturday, we taught another ami
(investigator). His name is Stanly and he's from the Congo. He only speaks
French, though, so I can't really participate very much in his lessons. But
he's still progressing either way, and that makes me very happy.
There are actually quite a few Hispanics here in
Brussels. On Friday the Salvadorean family from our ward made us pupusas for
dinner and they were so amazing! I feel like there's a lot of people from Portugal
and South America here. The members are great and really love missionaries and
find missionary opportunities. They are also very united and friendly with each
other.
t turns out that Sister Norby is in Brussels right now, too. So I finally got to meet her. Her and her husband are pretty cool.
So Pumas beat America in la liguilla? That's just great. And apparently Belgium is ranked No. 1 in FIFA right now. So we're on top the mountain.

Hola. El lunes en la noche le dimos una charla a un
investigador que se llama Guillermo. Es un tipo increíblemente humilde y fiel.
Le hablamos del Plan de Salvación. Nos acompañó una hermana del barrio que
trabaja con él en un hotel y durante la charla, mientras hablábamos de nuestra
vida en la tierra, la hermana de repente comenzó a llorar. Nos contó de todos
los problemas con los que está lidiando en este momento y uno de ellos era que
el jefe de Guillermo lo trata muy mal a él y no lo deja descansar los domingos.
La hermana simplemente se desahogó y lloró muchísimo. Al final de la lección,
nos pidió una bendición de consuelo para que tenga la fortaleza de enfrentar
sus problemas. Así que vamos a orar y ayunar por ella y por Guillermo a ver si
las cosas mejoran.
Después, el martes recibimos una llamada de los
élderes que hablan holandés y nos dijeron que habían encontrado a un muchacho
de Portugal que ha estado recibiendo algunas charlas y se quiere bautizar. Se
llama Armando Carlos y es de Lisboa. De camino a nuestra cita para cenar
quedamos de vernos en una estación y lo llevamos a la casa de los miembros que
nos iban a dar de cenar. Al final, también le dimos la charla sobre el Plan de
Salvación. Él tiene un deseo sincero de bautizarse y mi entrenador dijo que ese
tipo de cosas nunca suceden por acá, así que hemos sido sumamente bendecidos y
afortunados.
El sábado, enseñamos a otro ami (investigador) que se
llama Stanly y es del Congo. Solamente habla francés y por ahora no puedo
participar tanto en las charlas con él. De toda maneras, está progresando y eso
me hace muy feliz.
Aquí en Bruselas hay bastantes hispanos. El viernes
una familia del barrio que es de El Salvador nos hizo pupusas para cenar, ¡y
estaban deliciosas! Me parece que aquí hay un montón de gente de Portugal y de
Sudamérica, y los miembros son buena onda, quieren mucho a los misioneros y
buscan oportunidades misionales. Además son muy unidos y amables entre ellos.
Pues resulta que la hermana Norby está aquí en
Bruselas y finalmente la pude conocer. Ella y su esposo son muy buena onda,
después de todo, el mundo es muy chiquito.
Así que los Pumas le ganaron al América en la
liguilla… ¡Qué buena onda! Parece que Bélgica ahorita está clasificado como el
número uno según la FIFA. ¡Estamos en la cima!
Eso es todo lo que tengo esta semana. ¡Los quiero
mucho!
