Hey,
Earlier this week, we found this awesome
Chinese dude, named Chen. He's surprisingly religious, being Chinese himself,
he's really open and we're going to meet with him this week. It was super sick
and we met him at the weekly Bible study at Rudy's house.
We helped this Sœur from Nancy move into her
new apartment building Wednesday and Thursday. She had a ton of stuff, like a
ton of stuff. It was a bit of a struggle to carry couches and furniture up the
little European staircase. In fact, her fridge was so big that it didn't fit up
the staircase up to her apartment, so we had to take it over to our place, and
it's currently sitting in our apartment right now until we know what to do with
it. One day she said she needed a blessing because she needed the confirmation
that she came to La Rochelle for a reason. So we gave her a blessing of comfort
and immediately, she felt the confirmation. It was pretty cool.
We're feeling pretty good about our ward
because this month everybody's fasting and praying for the missionary work
here. So we definitely feel their support. I feel that even if they're not
available to teach with or live far away, the least we could do is pray and
fast for the missionary work in the ville.
Our new DL, Elder Young is pretty awesome, the
District Meeting formation he gave was awesome. Our vision this transfer is to
better work with the members to see more baptisms. The Spirit was really strong
in the meeting and gave us the feeling that we can see more
success. Now we just have to go to work.
I hope things go well in the election. No
matter who wins let us protect the land of freedom.

Hola:
La semana pasada encontramos a un compa que es
chino, buenísima onda y se llama Chen. Sorpresivamente es una persona
religiosa, de criterio abierto y lo visitaremos esta semana. Fue algo muy
curioso porque lo conocimos en el estudio semanal de la Biblia que tenemos en
la casa de Rudy.
También, el miércoles y jueves le ayudamos a
mudarse a una sœur que se vino de Nancy para acá. La cosa es que tenía
toneladas de cosas, pero en serio, cantidades exageradas de chivas. De hecho
nos las vimos negras para subir sillones y otros muebles por las escaleritas
del típico edificio de departamentos europeo. Es más, su refrigerador es tan
grande que no cupo por las escaleras del edificio, así que lo tuvimos que
llevar a nuestro departamento y todavía lo tenemos allá hasta que sepamos qué
hacer con él. También la hermana nos pidió una bendición porque quería recibir
una confirmación de que se había mudado a La Rochelle por una razón poderosa. Así
que le dimos una bendición de consuelo y de inmediato sintió una confirmación,
así que fue una buena experiencia.
En el barrio nos sentimos muy bien porque este
mes todos los miembros ofrecerán ayunos y oraciones por la obra misional, lo
cual, en definitiva, nos hace sentir su apoyo. Me parece que, aun si los
miembros no nos pueden acompañar o si viven lejos, lo menos que pueden hacer es
orar y ayunar para que la obra avance en la ciudad.
Nuestro nuevo líder de distrito es el élder
Young y es un tipo a todo dar. El otro día nos dio una capacitación que estuvo
muy buena. En este cambio tenemos la visión de aumentar el trabajo con los
miembros para que haya bautismos. El Espíritu se sintió muy fuerte durante la
reunión y todos pudimos sentir que podemos ser más exitosos. Todo lo que resta
por hacer es ponernos a trabajar.
Espero que todo salga bien con las elecciones
de EE. UU., y gane quien gane, debemos proteger esa tierra de libertad.
